Register for ICA 2014 Organized Tours
Now is the time to complete the separate registration process for the included tours and activities, as well as for optional tours.
As a complement to the extensive continuing education offerings of the delegate program, ICA 2014 promises an enjoyable social program for you and registered accompanying guests. In addition to the Welcome Reception on Sunday evening and Gala Dinner on Thursday evening, the Congress week includes open afternoons on Tuesday and Thursday to allow you and registered guests to enjoy all that the Washington, D.C. region has to offer, and to interact with other attendees in a more informal environment. Organized tours, as well as limited attendance workshops and field trips, will help you make the most of these afternoons, at no extra cost to you.
Have you decided how you wish to spend your Tuesday and/or Thursday afternoon? The ICA 2014 website includes a description of the tours and activities that are available to you. There is no extra fee to registered delegates and registered guests for participation in the Tuesday/Thursday afternoon tours during the ICA 2014 period for which you are registered. (Supplemental fees apply to the sports activities, as indicated on the website.) As an alternative to tours, registered Delegates only may choose to participate in a Limited Attendance Workshop or Educational Field Trip, also at no extra fee. Details on registering for the workshops and field trips will be announced at a later date, and Delegates will be permitted to change from a tour to a Limited Attendance event at that time without penalty.
For now, if you are planning to participate in one of the organized tours scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, we encourage you to sign-up for the tour of your choice today. Most tours have a limit on the number of participants, so do not delay in selecting your tour(s) so that you may participate in your first choice.
Your family members or guests also are invited to participate in the Tuesday and Thursday afternoon tours and activities. These tours are included at no extra cost if you register your guests for ICA 2014 as Accompanying Persons. We recommend this option, as the Accompanying Persons registration also includes evening dining/social events, breakfast each day, and other benefits. Alternatively, you may purchase your guests’ tours on an a la carte basis.
Be sure also to check out the optional tours that are available throughout the week. You can purchase one or more of these optional tours for yourself and/or your guests at the same time as you are selecting your Tuesday/Thursday afternoon tours. Some of the optional tours, such as the early morning photography tour, are quite compatible with also attending a full schedule of continuing education sessions.
All of the details on tours, fees where applicable, and tour registration procedures are available on the ICA 2014 website. The deadline for registering for tours is February 28, 2014.
If you have not yet registered your guests for the ICA 2014 Accompanying Persons package, please visit the conference registration website to do so, and then separately register them for their selected tours.
While visiting the ICA 2014 website to register for your tour(s), please be sure to review the abundance of new information that has recently been announced about the Congress, including the detailed schedule of parallel sessions.
